QXL fees

  • Registering with QXL.com is free and allows you to start bidding in auctions and benefit from all the services offered to all its members.

  • Participating in auctions and buying an item is entirely free.  Of course the buyer will pay the seller for the item, but no QXL.com charges are incurred.

  • Listing: QXL charge a listing fee based on your starting price. Listing fees vary, depending on whether the item is an auction or is sold as a Buy Now item. The Listing Fees will be incurred whether the auction closes successfully or not.

  • Once the auction is closed, QXL.com makes the buyer and seller's details visible so that they can get in touch with each other and a commission (success fee) of the selling price of the item appears within the seller's account.  (the seller's account can be found within My account).

  • All our fees already include VAT.

  • And, most importantly, note that all of our fees are much lower that those of eBay UK!

Reserve Price Option (0.40p)

In addition to selecting a start price, the seller can fix a reserve price below which they do not want to sell the item. If bids do not reach the reserve price that has been selected, the transaction will not take place. The charge for using the "reserve price" option will be refunded if the item sells. (In the instance where the reserve price charge is greater than the Success Fee, the Success Fee would be refunded).

Methods of Payment

The seller is able to continuously monitor the balance of their QXL.com account. QXL.com allows its members to continue their activities until their credit limit £5.00 is reached. After this, the seller must credit their QXL account before selling any further items on the site.
The seller can use the following payment methods:

  • To credit your account using Nochex please click here.
  • To credit your account using Paypal please click here.
  • By credit card (Visa and MasterCard): click here.
  • By cheque or postal order: made payable to QXL ricardo PLC with your QXL Alias or email address on the back of the cheque (or postal order). Cheques must be sent to:

    QXL.com Billing Dept
    Matrix Complex
    91 Peterborough Road
    Parson's Green

We strongly recommend crediting your QXL account in advance. This will ensure that you can continue to sell and benefit from the promotion options without having to worry about the balance on your account.
